Your visit to the United Arab Emirates, an enchanting and enigmatic location, is sure to take your travel experience to a whole new level. You will find the world’s most iconic skyscrapers, the remarkable palm-shaped islands and luxurious shopping hubs in this magical land of the vast Arabian Desert.
However, any trip overseas exposes you to unknown risks and uncertainties. It is never easy to rule out the possibility of a medical emergency. Although the country has advanced healthcare facilities that allow tourists to get immediate medical care during an emergency, the costs are higher. A travel insurance plan for UAE will keep you financially safe and worry-free about any travel-related inconveniences.
Moreover, while we always hope nothing goes wrong on a trip, incidents like loss of passport or luggage, or trip delays may happen unexpectedly. A travel insurance cover will also protect you in such situations.
As you witness the towering Burj Khalifa in Dubai, explore the heritage centres in Sharjah and experience delightful adventures in the sand dunes of Abu Dhabi, your travel policy will safeguard you against emergency expenses you might incur. Thus, before you indulge in countless travel escapades in the UAE, make the right choice to secure your trips with UAE travel insurance that will give you financial comfort.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has made travel insurance a mandatory requirement for foreign visitors and tourists. As per the Government of UAE, foreign visitors must have UAE travel insurance policy in order to obtain a visit visa.
Besides an obligation, getting a travel insurance policy is advantageous for travellers. The costs of medical treatment in the country can be expensive. The policy has a crucial role in providing a financial cushion when you may incur unexpected medical expenses. Even during a non-medical exigency like trip delays, your travel policy offers you defined coverage.

Use our online travel insurance premium calculator to compare different premium amounts and customise your policy to get an affordable cover.
Let take an example of a solo traveller, a male aged 30 years, without any pre-existing medical condition. If he opts for a single-trip UAE travel insurance plan for a trip duration of one month, then the average premium* would be approx. Rs 913, including GST @ 18.
Based on the purpose of your visit, you can avail the following visas for your UAE trip:
