- Tourist Visa: A traveler can apply for this visa and can stay in Thailand for up to a period of 60 days. It can further be extended to an additional 30 days. This type of visa is issued either for single or multiple entries. A single-entry visa is valid for entry into the country within a period of 6 months from the date of visa application. A multiple-entry visa is valid for entry once within a period of 3 months and allows entry to a traveler multiple times till the time the visa is valid.
- Non-immigrant Visa for long term stays: Travellers can stay up to 90 days in the country using this visa which is assigned for a single entry.
- Non-immigrant B-Visa (Thailand Work Permit): This visa is available for those visiting the country for business purposes.
- Non-immigrant Ed-Visa: Travellers visiting Thailand for education purposes or pursuing vocational courses can apply for this Visa. It will be available with the help of a recommendation letter from the authorized body.
- Non-immigrant O-Visa: Those planning to retire in Thailand, start work or settle in the country after marriage with a Thai national, can apply for Non-immigrant O-Visa or Marriage visa. To avail the retirement visa, their age should be above 50 years.
- Transit Visa: Those traveling in transit through Thailand can get this visa.
- Permanent Resident Visa: You can avail this visa if a person is residing in Thailand for 3 years in a row.
Application Procedure for Thailand Visa
Travelers can avail a Thailand visa for Indians by directly visiting the embassy/consulate/visa application center. They can also obtain the visa through the online mode as discussed below:

- Step 2: Fill the online application form with relevant information
- Step 3: Provide necessary supporting documents
- Step 4: Make a payment of visa fee
After successful verification and processing, the visa document will be sent to the applicant’s e-mail ID.

Documents Required for Thailand Visa
Applicants must provide the following documents for visa application:
- Indian Passport with validity of at least 30 days upon entry to the country
- Passport-size photograph
- Completed arrival card which is issued in the flight to Thailand
- Proof of a return flight ticket
- Credit/debit card
- Proof of accommodation/hotel reservation or a duly-signed letter from the host in Thailand
