Difference between Health and Travel Insurance

While a health insurance plan and travel insurance both cover you against medical expenses you incur in an emergency, a travel policy covers such costs only during a trip to a destination for a specified duration. It is not right to assume that your domestic health insurance will cover your expenses when travelling abroad. Thus, a travel cover is a must if you are flying abroad.

Besides, there are some differences between these two types of insurance plans. They have distinct benefits, coverage, exclusions, and claim policies. You must understand how they work so that you can get the maximum benefits safe.
