eVisa for Indians

In order to streamline the traditional visa application process, Vietnam started issuing an eVisa in February 2017. As an Indian citizen, you can also get an electronic visa to travel to Vietnam for any purpose. It is considered as an official document granted by its Immigration authorities. Vietnam Visa for Indians online is a single entry visa issued as a PDF document without a stamp and valid for 30 days.

It can be renewed after 30 days according to the terms and conditions of immigrant authorities. It takes three working days to process the electronic visa, and you will get the status after TAT. Indians holding eVisa can go directly to the immigration counter at the airport for entry. With an electronic visa, you do not need to wait for a long time.

Do You Need Visa for Vietnam?

You can apply either for eVisa or a visa on arrival to visit Vietnam for holidays, business, or studies purposes. VOA is applicable for air travel only. If you are planning to enter Vietnam via sea, you need to obtain a full visa in advance. The stamping fee is payable only in cash at Vietnam’s international airports. No credit cards are accepted for the visa fee.

Click on the official website and fill the visa application form online, with your name, passport number, DOB, arrival, and departure dates.

You have to click on the payment option to pay the eVisa fee. You can do it with MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.

Step 3

After three working days you can check the visa status on the eVisa portal with your registered email id, code, and DOB.

Step 4

Once you receive your eVisa you have to carry the printout along with you to enter or exit Vietnam.
