While a regular health insurance plan helps you get coverage for several medical treatments, a cardiac health insurance plan is indispensable to get financial protection for the long-term treatments that add up to significant medical expenditures when dealing with heart ailments.

In-patient Care: Care Heart offers comprehensive coverage up to the sum insured for a person who has been hospitalized for a minimum period of 24 hours. The expenses incurred by the person will be covered either through the cashless or reimbursement facility. The expenses covered include room charges, nursing expenses, ICU charges, surgeon’s fee/ doctor’s fee, etc.
Day Care Treatment: With advancements in medical procedures, a patient may require hospitalization stay which is lesser than 24 hours. For such day care treatments, Care Heart offers coverage maximum up to the sum insured through cashless or reimbursement facility.
Pre-Hospitalization and Post-Hospitalization Benefits: Medical expenses are not just restricted to the hospitalization costs, so with Care Heart, you are covered for pre-hospitalization and post-hospitalization expenses as well. All you need to do is just focus on your treatment and recovery – the insured are covered for 30 days preceding the hospitalization and 60 days after discharge.
Coverage for Alternate Treatments: The health insurance for cardiac patients offers cover for those who undertake a combination of conventional medical treatment and alternative medicines for their speedy recovery. We pay up to a specified amount towards AYUSH for your speedy recovery.
Ambulance Expenses: A patient may require immediate medical attention through ambulance services in emergencies. The ambulance charges incurred by the patient are covered by the Care Heart policy up to a specified amount per hospitalization.
Domiciliary Hospitalization Coverage: Illness does not necessarily mean hospitalization – in some cases, the insured will be recommended domiciliary care. It usually happens when the patient is too sick to be transferred, so to avoid the additional stress of transference, home-based care is recommended. Care Heart covers domiciliary treatment expenses up to 100% of sum insured covered after 3 days.
Automatic Recharge Facility: The cardiac health insurance policy offers the benefit of automatic recharge. Under this feature, the entire sum insured will be reinstated if the policyholder utilises the coverage amount up to the maximum limit. The reinstated amount can be utilised for future claims except for injury/ illness for which claim has already been raised during the policy year.
No Claims Bonus: If a policyholder does not make a claim for an entire policy year, he/she receives an increase of 10% in the sum insured for the next policy year; but in any case, the ‘no claim bonus’ will not exceed 50% of the sum insured under the policy.
Annual Cardiac Health Check-Up: Care Heart includes an annual check-up for insured members which assess comprehensive cardiac and other heart-related parameters. Staying informed is the best way to stay healthy.
