Yes, the minimum entry age is 5 years for individuals, and the maximum entry age is 65 years. The minimum entry age for dependent children is 3 months in a floater policy, and the maximum entry age is 24 years.
According to section 80D of the Income Tax Act 1961, the premium paid for Arogya Sanjeevani Individual Health Insurance is entitled to tax exemption.
The policy will cover the hospitalisation expenses related to coronavirus treatment.
It includes a waiting period of 36 months for pre-existing ailments and a waiting period of 24-36 months for specific diseases (as may be the case). The policyholder will be eligible to get cover for such conditions and diseases only after the waiting period is over.
