On Monday, 15 December 2025, the AQI level in Delhi NCR stood at 454 according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Due to low visibility and dense fog, Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) authorities issued a travel advisory for passengers. More than 60 flights were cancelled, and 150 flights were delayed as airport operations struggled to cope with near-zero visibility.

Flight Disruptions Reported

The fog has significantly reduced visibility on airport runways, forcing airlines such as Air India and Indigo to alert passengers to possible flight delays, diversions, and cancellations. Travellers were advised to check their flight status regularly and arrive at the airport earlier than usual to avoid last-minute delays.

Airlines Travel Advisory

Airlines' authorities posted on Social Media, “Due to dense fog, flight operations may experience disruptions. We are working closely with all stakeholders to minimise inconvenience to passengers. For the latest flight updates, passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines. We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused.”
