In a major move to boost its growing tourism sector, Saudi Arabia has officially launched a pilot version of its new "Package Visa" service. Introduced by the Saudi Ministry of Tourism on July 6 2026, this initiative allows international travellers to book their flights, accommodations, and entry visas through a single, seamless digital platform.
What is the “Package Visa?”
According to the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia, this is a new service designed to eliminate the hassle of multi-platform travel planning. Instead of applying for a visa, buying plane tickets, and reserving hotel rooms on separate websites, travellers can handle everything in a single, unified digital journey.
Commenting on the initiative, His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Saudi Minister of Tourism, said:
"As Saudi's tourism sector continues to grow at pace, Package Visa reflects our commitment to making travel to Saudi more seamless for visitors. By integrating visa issuance with travel bookings, we are simplifying the visitor journey and creating a more connected travel experience. This initiative also strengthens collaboration across the tourism ecosystem and supports Saudi's position as an increasingly accessible global destination."

Part of a Bigger Tourism Push
This launch aligns with Saudi Arabia's larger Vision 2030 strategy to diversify its economy and welcome the world. The Kingdom's tourism sector is booming, having welcomed over 29 million inbound visitors in 2025. The Package Visa joins previous successful travel reforms, including the electronic visa (e-Visa) ecosystem, visa-on-arrival options, and 96-hour stopover transit visas.
Note: As this service is currently in its pilot phase, specific lists of eligible nationalities and approved travel partners are being finalised and will be updated as the wider rollout progresses.
