In a monumental stride towards enhanced healthcare, Bihar is poised for a significant expansion of its healthcare infrastructure, with multiple facilities scheduled to be rolled out across the state in the coming months. The plan includes the launch of life-saving dialysis centers in every district, new blood banks, and private hospitals offering affordable care.
Further bolstering the state's healthcare capacity, a blood bank is scheduled to open during Navratri, offering modern storage and supply facilities to meet emergency needs. A private hospital, expected to start operations by Diwali, will provide treatment and medicines at government-approved rates, making quality care more affordable. Furthermore, a diagnostic centre equipped with advanced German technology is planned around Chhath, strengthening access to reliable testing and early detection services.
These initiatives are designed to alleviate both the financial and logistical burdens on patients, particularly those from rural areas who often face limited access to advanced medical care. For example, dialysis, which typically costs around ₹4,000 per session, is expected to be offered at a significantly reduced price.
While affordable facilities are a crucial step forward, the full benefit will be realised when families also secure themselves with health insurance coverage. By combining government schemes like Ayushman Bharat with private plans, patients can fully leverage these new services without the looming worry of sudden medical expenses, ensuring true healthcare security for all.
